Sur Le Mur
Sur Le Mur is like a mini art gallery as we offer a unique selection of art prints for nurseries and children’s bedrooms. We print our collections in small batches on fine art paper at our own studio in Copenhagen. At Sur Le Mur you will discover a careful curation of art prints from both the long-gone masters of children’s art and illustrations as well as new and exciting ones. We work with the best quality in all possible aspects as we aim to enchant the walls of children with art that sparks imagination and creativity.
We believe in the power of high quality craftsmanship and materials - in all matters. We wish to open the door into the world of artistic experience and expression for every child, and for them to know that this world is always open for all who wish to enter it. It will take you places you didn’t even know existed!
Production
Our studio produces made-to-order prints as well as editions in small quantities, as we aim to be a “next to no” waste company. We want to be able to adapt to customer demand and the changing seasons, while never ending up with dead stock.
We offer frames for selected prints. Our frames are sourced from Scandinavia and made from FSC®-certified wood with acrylic glass. Acrylic glass is a lighter, safer choice — ideal for both shipping and children — and the difference from real glass is barely noticeable.
The unique prints are mostly cut-outs from vintage or retro children’s books sourced from all over the world. We make an effort to match them with the perfect passe-partouts and frames. Some frames may have real glass fronts, as we choose the one that best complements the colours and motif of each piece.
